New Sonos Launch: Sonos Play and Sonos Era 100 SL

Sonos expands its lineup with the introduction of Sonos Play and Sonos Era 100 SL, two versatile speakers designed to deliver premium sound with flexible connectivity for both home and portable listening environments.
Pre-orders are now open through Audio Video Export, with orders scheduled to begin shipping on March 31. Dealers and integrators are encouraged to contact the AVE sales team to reserve inventory.
Sonos Play: Big Sound, Built to Move
The Sonos Play is designed for listeners who want powerful audio performance in a compact speaker that can move easily between indoor and outdoor environments. Engineered with two angled tweeters and a midwoofer, Sonos Play delivers crisp highs, clear vocals, and deep bass, creating a wide stereo soundstage from a portable design.
At home, Sonos Play connects over WiFi, allowing users to group speakers across rooms or pair two units for immersive stereo sound. A dedicated Wireless Charging Base keeps the speaker charged and ready whenever it’s needed.
Built for durability, Sonos Play features drop-resistant construction and an IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof design, making it ideal for everyday use both indoors and outdoors. With up to 24 hours of battery life, the speaker supports extended listening sessions, while the built-in power bank allows users to charge phones or other devices while music continues to play.
For the first time, users can also group multiple speakers directly through a Bluetooth connection when away from home. Simply connect Sonos Play to a phone and press the play/pause button on compatible speakers to sync audio across multiple devices.
Sound performance is enhanced by Automatic Trueplay™ tuning, which automatically adapts audio output to the environment. Sonos Play is also tuned with input from the Sonos Soundboard, a collective of leading creators across music and film, ensuring sound that stays true to the artist’s intent.
Designed with sustainability in mind, Sonos Play features optimized power management and a replaceable battery, supporting long-term product life.
Users can control the speaker through the Sonos app, voice services, Spotify Connect, and Apple AirPlay 2, and can connect external sources such as turntables using the Sonos Line-In Adapter.
Sonos Era 100 SL: Signature Sound Without Voice Control
The Sonos Era 100 SL builds on the acoustic platform of the Era 100, delivering wide stereo separation and balanced bass performance in a streamlined design without built-in microphones or voice control.
Its acoustic architecture combines dual angled tweeters and a powerful midwoofer, producing room-filling sound with clarity and depth. Designed for flexibility, Era 100 SL can be used as a standalone speaker, paired with a second unit for wider stereo sound, or integrated into a Sonos home theater system as rear surround speakers.
Like Sonos Play, the Era 100 SL has been tuned with input from the Sonos Soundboard, ensuring sound reproduction that reflects the original artistic vision.
Connectivity options include WiFi streaming through the Sonos ecosystem, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect, providing multiple ways to access music and audio content. External devices such as turntables or other audio sources can also be connected through line-in capability.
The Era 100 SL is also designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating recycled plastic materials, energy-efficient performance, and FSC-certified recyclable packaging.
Pre-Orders Now Available
Sonos Play and Sonos Era 100 SL are now available for pre-order through Audio Video Export.
